Chilly day (about 15DC with blowing wind)
Rainy evening and probably nite, unpredictable Boston Summer.
Mood: Melancholy and missing some things back at home definitely.
Hmm its been a week here and ive finally settled down enough to think about how to continue typing out a new entry of my blog.
All the weird shit that has happened, so surreal feeling of being here, now, in Boston USA, a place Ive always seen on tv, admired and longed to visit, but its so different from what u see on tv! its NOTHING like wat uve seen on tv.. haha cept’ the big sized angmohs.. well..
After all the big hoo-haa ordeals, getting our connecting flight from Chicago to Boston cancelled due to the bad weather, having to put up for a nite at a hotel, suffering from jet lag (wasnt badly affected) we finally made it to Boston MIT. Dorm wasnt too shabby (yea no fan.. had to buy one immediately on the 2nd day haha) and now Im settling in, like home sweet home now.
Took lotsa photos, will find time to put them up into a flash slide show and upload here which makes it much easier to view.. and to copyright protect aniwaez. Got quite sick of the western stuffs here riaoz, all the burgers and transfat is making mi fat! YEs.. BUT apparently, i seem to be losing weight instead..cos my once tight jeans is now.. LOOSE! haha
Been hanging out with Yixin and Xinru, hehe have couple of images of them, they are very open and vocal, love their company.. Yixin is one drama funny queen haha… we cook often for dinner, to save money and oso cos we miss Singapore food!
Today was the first day of starting on the more concrete idea development. We had a feedback session with the 2 product owners, and yea… like what I had thought about the other ideas proposed, were lacking the idea of pushing the pdt owners’ animation controller system to the optimal. Gave a couple more suggestions, on how I feel about the importance of physics elements, and afterthoughts on the existing ideas and how it might be possible to improve them. The products owners were generally pleased with my ideas of “Rampage” and “Stamina & Balancing” system.. so we got down as a team and further worked it out. Not bad for a start as we managed to develop quite indepth into the game, its target audience, art style approach, level design and its mechanism. Will be brainstorming again tml, and try to work out further more ideas, afterall the more the better, so that we can drop the pitch to them again this coming thur evening. Was overall, I feel a fruitful day, as most of us were quite pleased with the visual image of how our product will be like, and we even managed to type out a simple Scrum design draft.
